A belt cannot be derailed because it needs alignment and tension to work properly. However, having multiple gears is still available through the use of internally geared hubs, gearboxes, and multi-speed bottom brackets.
Life – lab testing has shown the Carbon Drive belt to last more than twice the life of chains.
Light Weight – the entire system, 2 sprockets and a belt, weighs less than just a typical chain.
No Stretch – The Carbon Drive belt does not stretch over time like a chain. This means you don’t have to re-tension the belt, or replace the belt due to stretch. This also means no excessive wear on sprockets due to stretch.
Smooth – The instant engagement of the Carbon Drive system gives an unparalleled smoothness that chains can’t meet.
No Noise – The Carbon Drive belt is virtually silent.
No Lubrication – The Carbon Drive belt does not need lubrication to keep it running smooth and silent; this means no grease on your hands, socks or pants.
Open Tooth – the patented open tooth profile of the Carbon Drive sprockets allows mud, dirt, rocks, and other debris to pass right through without a moment of hesitation.
All parts defective in material and workmanship. Defects that have resulted from improper or unreasonable use or maintenance, accident, excess moisture, improper packing, or unauthorized tampering, alteration or modification are not covered.
WHERE PERMITTED, THE PROVISIONS OF THIS LIMITED WARRANTY ARE IN LIEU OF ANY OTHER WRITTEN WARRANTY, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, WRITTEN OR ORAL, INCLUDING ANY WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. Notwithstanding the above, where applicable, if you qualify as a “consumer” under the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, then you may be entitled to any implied warranties allowed by law for the period of the express Limited Warranty as set forth below. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied Limited Warranty lasts, so the above limitation may not apply to you.
Spot Brand LLC Limited Warranty lasts one year from the purchase date.
We will, at our sole option, repair or replace any defective parts within a reasonable period of time and free of charge.
Consumer pays shipping to us, we will pay comparable shipping in return.
Return product with proof of purchase from Spot Brand LLC or an authorized Spot Brand LLC dealer. If you elect to return the product directly to Spot Brand LLC, the following procedures must be followed: Contact Spot Brand LLC at www.spotbrand.com for a return authorization number, and specific return and shipping instructions. Include RA number on outside of packaging when returned.
This Limited Warranty is fully transferable provided that the current owner furnishes the original proof of purchase from an authorized Spot Brand LLC dealer. THE MAXIMUM LIABILITY OF Spot Brand LLC SHALL NOT EXCEED THE ACTUAL PURCHASE PRICE PAID BY YOU FOR THE PRODUCT. IN NO EVENT SHALL Spot Brand LLC BE LIABLE FOR SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR INDIRECT DAMAGES. Some places do not allow limitations on the exclusion or limitation of relief, special, incidental, consequential or indirect damages, or the limitation of liability to specified amounts, so the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to you.
This Limited Warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from country to country or state to state. This Limited Warranty is void if the product is not purchased from an authorized reseller.
